Yes, I’m on a Book Tour.

It just doesn’t look like I thought it would. Bloodstream and I are out there in the world, doing what’s manageable, and determined to have fun. So far, so good.
A book cake, friends, & a full heart: Celebrating Bloodstream

Another book launch, another burnishing of a joy moment into my life’s timeline.
Bloodstream is out, class is over, and reviews are in!

How many joy moments can a heart hold? Several, it turns out.
Introducing Bloodstream: Memory, Roots and Place

The cover of my new book, Bloodstream, is final! This passion flower nods to the collection’s themes of memory, Southern roots, and the fluid boundaries between human and natural worlds.
Book Birthday! The Grief Committee Minutes turns 1!

A year isn’t a long time, yet it can feel like an eternity. Cheers to all who have traveled my book’s journey with me so far!
“Write it down”: My notebook discovery

I never thought I’d say it. A notebook can be a writer’s best friend. They can be beautiful, and — had you asked me just over a month ago — I would have said, also completely useless. I was wrong.
Go, little book, go!

The Grief Committee Minutes was named a finalist for the 2025 Eric Hoffer Award in the poetry category.
Writing (and writers) for dear life: AWP2025

Signing, selling and trading books, cultivating friendships and participating in two separate readings made this conference truly one for the books.
AWP and LA, here I come…with bells (and books!)

This will be my 4th AWP conference…but my first-ever with a debut book of poems in hand to sell and sign. I’ll also be participating in first off-site reading in years with an incredible group of women poets. I can’t wait!
When memory speaks louder

Facing the future and a key life transition: so much gratitude & respect for all who have been a part of my journey.
